Crafted in 14K white gold, circa 1950s - 1960s, they have a unique star-inspired design. These earrings are a warm white gold color, non-rhodium plated. We kept them this way to keep their vintage patina look but they can be rhodium plated to make bright white by request.
Each earring features a natural diamond, total weight 1/3ctw for the pair. But they look much larger, beacuse they are set in an "illusion-setting". Illusion settings were popular at this time. It allowed jewelry designers to make a diamond appear larger, without costing the buyer more money.
We love the intricate milgrain detailing and the open work design. It gives them an airy elegance. With the beautiful design, craftsmanship and brilliant diamonds in the center, they shine like little stars - perfect for day or night. One of the star's points has a small area where the milgrain has worn off.
