Wow. You've heard the term 'statement earrings' - well that these are. Very impressive, and rare.

Crafted in rich 18K white and yellow gold. Its really cool how one part of each earring was made in 18K yellow gold and welded seemlessly to the white portion. Amazing engineering and craftsmanship.

Each earring is hand-set with seventy-eight (78) top quality round brilliant diamonds. (27 in the yellow gold; 51 in the white gold.) The diamonds are between 1.4 - 1.5mm each. The pair has one hundred fifty-six (156) diamonds. The total diamond weight by formula is 2.20ctw. Nice diamonds too - VS clarity and G-H color. The setting work is expert also.

The design of these earrings is breathtaking. The gentle curves, the flowing shape, the way the white gold part is domed, while the yellow gold part curves inward, all studded with diamonds perfectly. Where will you ever see this again? These are very high end. In 35 years, I've not had a pair of earrings like them. Would make an amazing addition to your fine jewelry collection.

They have good heft - no lightweight hollowed out stuff here. They weigh 17.0 grams of 18K gold for the pair. (Just the scrap gold value is over $1100!) They are also made with Omega style backs, so they are very secure.

These came in as part of an estate, from an entertainer who performed in San Francisco back in the 1960s - 1990s. Her lifestyle changed and hadn't worn these in 15 or more years. And were only worn occcasionally at 'fancy parties' she said.

If a jeweler were to replicate these, the price would be over $9,000. But 99.5% of jewelers couldn't replicate them.

One lucky lady is going to be very happy. : )
