Handcrafted to perfection. We started out with hand picking our red spinel for this gorgeous handmade ring. We prefer red spinels from Burma, in particular the Mogok area. The spinels from Burma are recognized as the best in the world. But supply is limited, and the prices have been going up every year since about 2018. But fear not, this gemstone we purchased in 2019 before the big spike!
The gem is 2.75ct, measuring 8.4 x 7.1mm. The color is the sought after 'blood red', which is scarce. The more common purplish-red are much more common and less desirable. The spinel is cabachon cut, not faceted. This type of gemstone looks great in a bezel setting.
The ring was made just for this gemstone, so the fit is perfect. It is hand fabricated in rich 18K yellow gold. We put a hammer finish on it. It turned out so beautifu!
Each red spinel is unique - no two truly look alike. So this ring is a one-of-a-kind. We cannot reproduce the exact ring, similar yes, but it is futile to try to find a perfect matching spinel.
One lucky lady is going to treasure this ring forever. And the way spinels are increasing in value, it is a great heirloom piece.
