Ceylon sapphires are among the finest in the world. This one is fairly rare at 4.60ct and unheated. Most all sapphires (and all colored gems) are heat treated. Not this one. It's all 100% natural.
Brilliance is very nice, it is lively and lights up very well.
Cutting is very good also. There is only a small window, which isn't really noticeable unless it's checked on a pure white background.
The color is strongly saturated with a glowing medium blue in daylight. Under grading lights it shows slightly lighter. We call this a "glowy" stone, typical of your higher quality Ceylon sapphires.
