This swoon worthy antique ring is a perfect addition if you collect (or want to start collecting!) vintage jewelry. We just love, love, love this beauty. Notice how the delicate seed pearls border the elongated top and frame in the luscious green emeralds. From the Victorian era.
This hand crafted piece has such a romantic flair. The gold edges of the top part have milgrain details. Where the top meets the band there are hand carved floral scrolls, with hand chased engraved designs in the band. None of this is machine made, or made using the cast method, like today. All the gold is cut out of rolled sheet by hand, pierced, carved and shaped.
Crafted in 15K gold. 15k gold jewelry was made in various countries, including the UK, France, Germany, and other European nations. Generally, 15K was considered first used around the 1830s up to the early 1900s.
The ring is delicate. It was not made to be worn daily. It's still in great condition, so it wasn't worn that often. Just for special occasions.
