Meteorite & Cobalt
5mm
3 Weeks for All Other Sizes

Featuring genuine Gibeon Meteorite. This stuff is really cool. Discovered in Namibia, Africa in 1838. This particular meteorite is the most sought after for jewelry. It is fine octahedrite with the beautiful Widmanstatten pattern.
The ring width is 5mm, so it is a nice minimalist size. The meteorite portion is 4mm. The edges and underneath are Cobalt. Cobalt is a bright white metal (as bright or brighter than even platinum!) that is hypo-allergenic. No nickel in it, like white gold has. It's beautiful and durable.
Gibeon meteorite is becoming very popular - which is causing the prices to rise dramatically! There is only so much material left and some of the big designers are buying it up as it becomes available.
Meteorite is made up mainly of iron. Iron, as you know, does rust. So you must take proper care of your ring. Before we ship it to you, the ring has an oil resin that is applied to it, this acts as a water barrier to keep it from rusting.
What to do when your ring gets wet:
If you do get it wet, and I'm sure you will, here is what you should do:
- Completely dry the ring.
- Dip the ring in rubbing alcohol.
- Completely dry it - use a blow dryer.
- Rub the meteorite with some gun oil to reseal it.
- Or just bring it to us and we will take care of it for you.
