You won't find another money clip like this one. Very fine western scroll hand engraved design accenting the 100 year old Morgan Silver Dollar coin. Adding more intrique to this piece, is the six 3-dimensional 14k gold diamonds.
This starts off from a sheet of sterling silver. The piece is then cut, meticulously engraved by hand, heated and bent into a moneyclip. Then we cast the 6 pieces 14k gold 3D diamonds. These are then welded on to the clip. The money clip is then cut so the Morgan silver dollar can be placed inline, then welded on both sides. Next it is lightly oxidized in the engraved areas to show the design a little better. Finally, it is polished to bring out a nice shine.
This type of hand fabrication is all but lost nowadays, with all the mass produced low end jewelry being sold. But this piece is all done by hand.
Morgan silver dollars were made from 1878 - 1904, then again for one year in 1921. They are the world's most collected coin.
