Buying jewelry online is intimidating. We should know. We've been selling online for 17 years.
We've taken a totally different approach. A personal one.
Remember how experiences used to be intimate? Jewelry buying should be an intimate experience.
It isn't about having the largest selection, or selling the cheapest (i.e. low quality) jewelry. We’re not aiming to be the Amazon of jewelry. We are a family-owned jewelry store in Modesto (California) that is very picky about quality and design. That's been our calling card since 1989.
Beautiful jewelry should stir the soul. Before selecting a piece for display we ask, “How does this design make me feel?”
In a world of infinite choice, it’s nice to slow down and appreciate the work of master craftsmen.
Don’t use your credit card to buy this. Not yet.
It’s 5:40 AM in Modesto right now. Call us and see why we fell in love with this piece. One shouldn’t ever have to buy jewelry online without asking all your questions first. Oh, that’s right, that’s what makes us different from the thousands of online jewelry sites out there.
When you call you aren’t talking to an agent in a call center. Your talking to either Ron Yates, Ashton Yates-Woolley, Marissa Stewart, Mechelle Yates, or Justice Carillo at our Modesto store location.
Gorgeous hand made piece. Very fine western scroll hand engraved design accenting the genuine U.S. $2.50 Indian gold coin. So cool.
This starts off from a sheet of sterling silver. The piece is then cut, shaped with the fancy profile, meticulously engraved by hand, heated and bent into a moneyclip. Then the gold coins is welded onto the sterling clip. Then where the solder shows on the weld, this area is tooled to show a nice design - hiding the weld marks. Next it is lightly oxidized in the engraved areas to show the design a little better. Finally, it is polished to bring out a nice shine.
Look at the shape - do you notice the old time shape on the ends? And the indented side towards the top? Look at the border that goes around the entire piece. All done by hand.
The gold coin has a fascinating history. Minted from 1908 - 1916, and then again from 1926 - 1933. The coin is legal tender for $2.50 (obviously worth much more than that now!) The design on the coin is "incused" into the metal, not raised up. Only the $2.50 and $5 Indian Head gold coins were made this way. A true piece of American history!
I guarantee that every guy that receives this hand made heirloom will absolutely love it. It is destined to be his favorite piece and one that will be passed down. The perfect gift to give the man that has everything.
