Iggy Azalea's Engagement Ring

Iggy Azalea was born and raised down under in the rugged Australian countryside. In 2006 at age 15, she moved to the U.S.A. to pursue her dreams of becoming a rap star. An Australian rapper? Yeah, it wasn't an easy sell at first. But Iggy is a perfect example of a girl who would not give up on her dreams, despite countless setbacks. She modeled to make ends meet until her rap career took off.

That career was obviously worth waiting for. So was Iggy's enormous 8.15 carat yellow diamond engagement ring from L.A. Lakers basketball player Nick Young, alias “Swaggy P". There is no missing this dazzling ring on Iggy's finger. It might as well be Nick's billboard for “she's taken!"

Nick Young and Iggy were set up on a date in 2013 by mutual friends. Actually, he first admitted he had a crush on her via Twitter. Iggy was skeptical but finally agreed to check him out. The rest is history. After almost two years of steady dating, Nick threw Iggy off guard by proposing to her on his birthday, June 1, 2015.

Nick designed Iggy's ring with jeweler Jason Arasheben of Jason of Beverly Hills. It took numerous trips to get it right for his Fancy gal. (Fancy is the title of her break-out song from 2014.) Along with the jaw-dropping center yellow diamond, the rest of the ring is bedecked with white diamonds. How thrilled was Iggy when Nick proposed?
