Platinum & Diamonds

A beautiful example of a classic Art Deco navette shaped diamond ring. What is navette? The term comes from the French word for “little boat”, and in jewelry it refers to an elongated, oval shape with pointed ends - resembling a boat. Also referred to as a “marquise shape”.
Navette shaped rings were very popular in the late Victorian era, Edwardian era and the Art Deco era. This piece is Art Deco, from the 1920s - 1930s.
Crafted in platinum and set with fourteen (14) natural Old European cut diamonds, in a cluster. Their estimated total weight is .76ctw.
We love the filigree design, which starts at the top, and wraps down the sides. Classic beauty!
The ring has been sized a couple of times and has been worn. It is in very good condition, but shows some love.
A perfect addition to your vintage collection.
