Why Talking Is a Good Idea
Buying jewelry online is intimidating. We should know. We've been selling online for 17 years.
We've taken a totally different approach. A personal one.
Remember how experiences used to be intimate? Jewelry buying should be an intimate experience.
It isn't about having the largest selection, or selling the cheapest (i.e. low quality) jewelry. We’re not aiming to be the Amazon of jewelry. We are a family-owned jewelry store in Modesto (California) that is very picky about quality and design. That's been our calling card since 1989.
Beautiful jewelry should stir the soul. Before selecting a piece for display we ask, “How does this design make me feel?”
In a world of infinite choice, it’s nice to slow down and appreciate the work of master craftsmen.
Don’t use your credit card to buy this. Not yet.
It’s 5:40 AM in Modesto right now. Call us and see why we fell in love with this piece. One shouldn’t ever have to buy jewelry online without asking all your questions first. Oh, that’s right, that’s what makes us different from the thousands of online jewelry sites out there.
When you call you aren’t talking to an agent in a call center. Your talking to either Ron Yates, Ashton Yates-Woolley, Marissa Stewart, Mechelle Yates, or Justice Carillo at our Modesto store location.
Product Details
One of our favorites! This cool man's wedding band features unique materials and textures. Crafted out of cobalt chrome, measuring 9mm wide and inlaid with exotic genuine meteorite.
Notice the edges of the ring. It has an attention grabbing "Rock Polish" finish.
Cobalt chrome is fairly new to the jewelry world. But it has been used in the medical industry for years because it is hypo-allergenic. Another benefit is that the color is as white, or whiter even, than platinum! But it is not expensive like platinum.
In the center is genuine Gibeon meteorite. Yes, it came from outer space!
Gibeon meteorites came from asteroid fragments, (or an exploding star). Experts in radiometric dating claim the material is about 4 billion years old. Wow. They are composed mainly of iron and nickel, with trace amounts of cobalt.
The Gibeon meteorites were first collected in the 1830s in Namibia, which is located in southern Africa. This material is becoming quite scarce and costs have tripled in just the past few years due to demand.
Because meteorite is composed mainly of iron, and iron will rust, meteorite will rust if left exposed to water or moisture. That is why this ring has a oil resin applied to it as a coating to keep it from rusting.
If you get this ring wet here is what to do:
- Completely dry the ring.
- Dip the ring in rubbing alcohol.
- Completely dry it - use a blow dryer.
- Rub the meteorite with some gun oil to reseal it.
- Or just bring it to us and we will take care of it for you.
