We love the design of this bracelet. It's simple, yet uniquely different - and eye catching. The sapphires are geometrically shaped. The eye cannot ignore this angled shape, it kind of hooks you.
Besides the unique shape, the natural colored pink sapphires are uniquely faceted. They are sapphire "slices", which are thin flat lightly faceted sapphires. These gems come from the Illakaka region of Madagascar (island off Africa), where the sapphire deposits seems to produce crystals that tend to be a little flat. So cutting them in this fashion is a great way to use the rought material!
The five sapphires total 2.63ctw. This is a handmade piece. Because each gemstone has been cut and faceted to maximize it's beauty, they are all different sizes. So our jeweler had to hand make each bezel to hold each sapphire. But we feel the end result is definitely worth it.
