A genuine vintage platinum engagement ring featuring an Old European Cut diamond. Most likely crafted in the 1920s.
The center diamond is estimated at .88ct. This antique cut diamond is called an "Old European Cut". These diamonds are characterized by higher crowns, smaller tables, and open culets - (for you technical people). Old European Cut diamonds tend to "face up" with whiter color than more modern cut diamonds. They don't sparkle the same as a round brilliant one does, but they have so much character! This stone is SI1 - SI2 clarity and L-M in color. (However, it faces up closer to a I-J color.)
There are also four small single cut diamonds set as accents. Notice the milgrain details on the ring.
The ring is size 5.75 and weighs 3.6 grams.
