Do you love wide diamond bands full of vintage sparkle?  Then you're gonna love the Bonnie!  Lots of dazzling sparkle in this beauty, from the 1940s - 1950.

The ring has a substantial width at the top - 10.7mm wide.  Notice there are three angled rows of diamonds, with a little swirl at the ends.  Each row is set with three antique Old European Cut diamonds, (note:  1 diamond has been replaced later and it is a round brilliant).  Then on each of the the ring there is another single diamond.  The borders of the diamond rows have hand-applied milgraining on the edges of the metal.  Staring at this ring will take your breath away.

The ring was crafted in precious platinum.  But somewhere down through time, the ring got re-shanked.  And the jeweler who did this, used 14K white gold.  (Gold is much easier to work with than platinum, and it was customary in the 1970s and 1980s for jewelers to do this.)  So the bottom part of the ring is white gold.

The total weight of the diamonds is estimated at 1.15ctw.  Well over a full carat!  These are all Old European Cut diamonds, as was standard until about 1950.  But one diamond must have chipped or fell out and was replaced with a modern cut brilliant.

Bonnie is a bold beauty!  You can make her yours.  : )
