One of our favorite black zirconium wedding bands. The combination of the really cool distressed finish, the black color and the recessed 14k rose gold rope on the edges - it's just a masterful design!
The ring has a flat profile, but we can make in a domed profile - just let us know.
The width is 7mm, but this is also customizable. Want it narrower, or wider? Ok!
Interesting info on zirconium: Zirconium is an element found in the earth. It is even on the periodic table of elements, its number being 40 and abbreviation being Zr. Zirconium is hypo-allergenic, so don't have to worry about breaking out in a rash. It is also naturally a gray color - not black. But with high heat, zirconium can be oxidized. The oxidation is a thin hard layer on the outside of the metal that is "blackish". It's not a true dark black, like black paint. But it's black enough.
The oxidized black shell on zirconium is hard, much like a porcelein dish. With heavy use against sharp metal objects, or rocks, gravel, that sort of thing, zirconium will scratch through. But you can have us re-oxidize it and restore it's color.
Zirconium is a great choice if you want a black wedding band. Most black rings, like blackened silver rings, or black tungsten, scratch through the black immediately. Those folks are usually very disappointed.
